80 people attended that last Flea Market. One person was interested in renting it for a class reunion. Many people toured the building to look at the improvements and were impressed. 10 vendors were in attendance, but the food truck could not make it. In October we will be combining a Flea Market and Farmer’s Market.
Old Business
We will be installing the flooring this week Tuesday through Thursday. Hopefully, we will be done on Wednesday. We will need some rubber hammers. Roxana proposed that the center purchase dinner for workers on Tuesday evening. Julie moved that we do that, Jonathan seconded. Motion passed. Sharon Behler has offered to bring dinner on Wednesday night.
We are providing lunch for the Trapper class on Saturday and need volunteers to serve it. Woody and Roxana offered to serve it.
After much discussion, it was decided to get rid of the huge wooden table in the banquet room because it is rickety and the legs will scratch the new floor. It is very heavy and hard to move. We also need to either put something on the bottom of the benches or move them out of the banquet room. For now, we will store them in the other room until we can find a way to make them more compatible with the new floor. Other items that we need to consider are new casters on the coat rack and the chair racks.
New Business
London Township wants to know if we would go in with them to rent a trash dumpster.
Question? Where would it be located? It would be located partway between the two areas located on a concrete slab and surrounded with a fence with a lock so that it is protected. We will talk to the township to find out what size of dumpster they are considering and what service they want to use. Our share of the monthly cost will be $45.00. We would keep the $10 fee in the rental agreement to cover the cost of the dumpster.
Kim will set a volunteer meeting date for the Soup Supper and put it in the GroupMe.
Julie took a ceiling tile to the floor place so they can advertise in our lobby.
Miscellaneous Business
Next board meeting will be August 25 at 7:00 p.m.
Woody moved to close the meeting. Linda Wilbur seconded. Passed.
