FINANCIAL REPORT – Lucretia Smith
I have expenses for the soup supper, but since not all was used that night, do we declare it all as “Soup Supper” expenses?
Julie - The left overs will be used at other events, so it shouldn’t just be Soup Supper.
Jess - Maybe you could make a new category and call it “Event Supplies” since those things are used at various events.

Will be January 31 with doors opening at 5:30, starting at 6:00 p.m. Last time we had hamburgers and hot dogs from the grill. It will be colder this time, but do we want to do something similar because it helps make more money? This will be a pretty low overhead event since we have most of the supplies now from previous Bingo events.
Maybe we could do chili and hot dogs so that people could have either a hot dog or a chili dog. Maybe cinnamon rolls?
The last two times, our grand gift was a TV, but Julie has offered to donate a bluetooth turntable for this event. I have two Lego kits for rounds, but we will need gift cards for the other eight rounds. It would also be nice if we could find coupons from various businesses to hand out also because those went over really well at the last event.
I will modify the flier we have used in the past and will also be putting it online on our FB page. We will also have paper fliers to hang around town (Peck, Clearwater, Haysville, Mulvane, Belle Plaine).
Old Business
Board elections will be in January. We will change the billboard at the first of the month to inform the community.
The sewer alarm hasn't gone off in quite awhile, so hopefully it’s working now.
Our not-for-profit is still a work-in-progress that Lucretia is on top of. She has been talking with an attorney and steps are being taken to get it fixed. Sam - We need to see if we can change it from not-for-profit to non-profit. Lucretia - That is a step that we are looking at.
Jonathan - Can we discuss what the township suggested about purchasing part of the land? Bryan - right now, especially with the way the deed reads, we are not in a position to sell any land. We might have more conversation about the water well, but we need more information before we go forward with that.
New Business
The Peck Ramblers 4-H have moved back to Mulvane and we wonder if they would be interested in moving back to this building where they started. The meetings now are in the Mulvane Saddle Club which is an old tin building.
Jess - What agreement would you have if there were any damages while they were in the building? Would there be rent? There needs to be some accountability.
Bryan - If they moved here, we would have to have a written agreement with them that included how to handle damages. We would offer it not for rent, but in return for community service like helping with our fundraisers, etc. I just thought it would be nice for us to offer. They may or may not want to return back to their home base. The leader now is Lisa Elam and I will get a hold of her to see what she thinks.
Jess Carter moved to offer space to the Peck Ramblers 4-H. Julie Bell seconded. Passed.
Jess Carter - When our SWE used the room last weekend, I noticed that someone had used tape on the wood. I would recommend that we put command hooks or something that is more permanent on the wall for people to pin decorations or ornaments so that the paint is not damaged. I would be happy to look into that. What kind of a budget could I have to work with?
Bryan - One idea would be the thin metal strips with cork in it that you could stick pins in.
Jonathan - I think Jess should look into several ideas then let us know what would work best.
Woody - Is the trash dumpster operational now? Bryan - Yes. The trash truck seems to have no problem accessing it.
Miscellaneous Business
The next board meeting will be December 29 at 7:00 p.m.
Jess Carter moved to close the meeting. Julie Bell seconded. Passed.
Meeting adjourned at 7:54 p.m.
