COMMITTEE REPORTS:

Chicken Dinner – Bryan Bell

Soup Supper – Julie Bell

We only need tea bags, lemonade mix, more bowls and some small plates, butter, more desserts. Diane Hahn donated $20 for dinner rolls.  Andy Craft’s mother, Vicky will make a pan of brownies. Andy will also pick up bowls.

Janice – What about take out? Janice – I got some last year from Dollar General.

Lucretia – I recommend you find more servers. That night gets long.  Janice – You might check with Ann Lassey. She helped last year.

December Craft Show    21 Vendors expected for Christmas show. All tax work is in for the vendors. List of all vendors must be turned into the state. We need to put next year’s events on the calendar because vendors sign up months in advance. I will have that ready for next month’s meeting.

Roxana would like to see us just focus on three main events – Car Show, Soup Supper, and Christmas Fair.

Calendar - Bryan Bell - Upcoming rentals

Soup Supper – Nov 4 Banquet room – Nov 12 Township on 14

Banquet room – Nov 18 Banquet room – Nov 23 Banquet room – Nov 25.

Car Show – Tentative date for the show will be May 18th.

Old Business

Peck residents - $50/hr for 2 hr minimum   $35/hr for 2 hr minimum

Non-residents - $100/hr for 3 hr minimum  $60/hr for 3 hr minimum

Commercial – to be determined by event

Possible discount for additional hours.

Set prices for all day rental? So many hours OR all day?

We do still offer free time for set up.

David – I think it would be easier to just raise our price by 40% or 50% and keep it a flat rate.

Maybe look at the time frames if two people want to book on the same day.

Janice – I like the idea of a flat price.

 New Business

Janice – What about the big advertising mural that used to be on the old building? Bryan – It is in the storage room. We are looking for a place to donate it, but so far, no one wants it.

Andy – Several people have asked about getting a copy of the Peck Centennial Book.

Janice – I have talked to a few people about reprinting it. We are running into copyright problems with some of the printers, but the original printer is dead, and the print company is no longer in business.

Miscellaneous Business –

Lucretia – We had a wedding here two weeks ago and I was a guest. We got a nastygram from one of the persons who helped clean up because we did not give them back their damage deposit.

As a friend of the family, I put up the tables and chairs. I am requesting a partial return of the deposit for the minor damage.

Bryan – the cost of paint was $75.

Lucretia – In the future, we need to tell them to leave the command strips up and we will take them down.

Bryan – If you want to give them back $50, go ahead and we will consider this a learning event.

Our next meeting will be November 27, 2023, 7:00 p.m. at the Peck Community Center

Motioned to adjourn by Julie Bell ; seconded by Sam Bell . Passed.

Meeting adjourned at 7:46 p.m.
